Smarter Balanced testing will be wrapping up this week. Thank you to our juniors who took the test seriously and worked to the best of their abilities. We continue AP testing this week with exams in Biology, Music theory, Physics, US Government and Politics, Language and Composition, World History and Microeconomics.
Many of the students who are taking these AP exams this week will be recognized this Wednesday evening at our annual Academic Honors banquet where we will honor the top ten percent of each class. It is an evening we look forward to each year.
We had a powerful speaker last week who spoke to our students about the dangers of driving while intoxicated. Our focus on safe decision-making continues this week when our state police bring the Convincer to Bristol Eastern High School. Students will have the opportunity to ride the convincer during study hall or lunch.
For home varsity events this week we have on Monday, golf and girls' tennis verses Plainville and baseball verses Berlin. On Tuesday, we have Girls' Lacrosse against Newington and Girls' Tennis against Manchester. On Wednesday, we have Boys' Tennis against Rockville and Baseball against Plainville. Finally, on Thursday, We have Girls' Tennis verses Bulkeley and Girls Lacrosse at 7pm against Rham. Our outdoor track teams have many away events this week. We wish them the best of luck.
