BE Events for Students and Staff
We'd like to encourage all students and families to come to College Credit Night this Tuesday. There are so many ways our students can now earn college credit while in high school giving the students the benefit of the rigor of a college class with the support of a high school program and giving parents the benefit of not having to pay the typical amount for a college course. Please come to the auditorium Tuesday night at 6:30pm to hear more about our college credit course offerings here at BEHS!
Prior to that event, we're hosting an informational sessions for parents and their teens about Khan Academy. You may be aware that our students have recently received their PSAT scores from the test they took this past October. Their scores on the PSAT are a good indication of how they would have performed on the SAT had it been taken that day. Our juniors will be taking the SAT in April and those students planning on attending two or four year college or university after high school want their best SAT score. College Board offers a free resource to students to help boost their scores called Khan Academy. Because Khan Academy uses students' unique PSAT results, it can tailor the practice and instruction to students' individual needs. Please come to the library at 5:45pm on Tuesday to see how Khan Academy works so that you can encourage you son or daughter to use this very valuable resource.
