School Events
Throughout this week and for the next week, students and families should be using PowerSchool and the parent and student portals to review their recommendations from teachers for their courses next year and to enter their requests for courses. Freshmen students will be working with our guidance counselors within school but are encouraged to review their selections for courses with their families at home. For more information about the courses that are available, please check out our Program of Studies on our webpage.Thursday this week, we will hold our National Honor Society induction. Our junior and seniors will be inducted to NHS in front of family and friends in the auditorium at 6:00pm. Congratulations to those students.
On Friday, we'll hold a special event for our junior students who will be taking the SAT next Wednesday. All juniors will be taking the SAT next Wednesday, March 2nd. We're excited to be able to offer this test to all of our students, potentially opening the doors to students' futures in further education. Parents, please help us ensure that all of our juniors have the opportunity to take the SAT next Wednesday. You'll hear more about what students will need to be prepared in next Monday's message.
We'd also like to have you think ahead to next Wednesday. Please be advised that next Wednesday is a half day of school for all students. Dismissal will be at 12:06pm. Lunch will not be served. Specific details for juniors taking the SAT will be sent to families this week.
A senior at Bristol Eastern High School has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. To support him and his family, we hope to be able to lift their spirits and raise funds to support them with their medical care through a special event this Saturday held at Dunphy's. Dunphy's will be hosting an ice cream for breakfast day and proceeds from the day will be donated to the student for his care. Please come to support this senior.
