Weekly Events for March 30th
Our spring sports season begins this week with a few of our teams at scrimmages. Only one home scrimmage, girls' tennis, this Monday at 3:45pm. Looking forward to a great spring season.
Governance council will meet this Thursday at 2:30pm in our library. All parents are invited to attend. Please contact Mrs. Marseglia if you plan on attending.
Please remember that there is no school Friday. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.
Project graduation would like to remind parents of seniors that the lawn sign forms and payments are due on April 1. The Butter Braids everyone ordered are available for pick up between 2 and 6pm on Wednesday, April 1st only. There will be a Dunphy's Fundraiser Thursday night at Dunphy's from 6-9pm.

Weekly Events for March 23rd
We would like to recognize our School Resource Officer, Officer Sassu this week since he will be recognized this week as the Bristol Police Department's Officer of the Year. He serves our school community well and is most deserving of this award.
Thank you to our sophomores who took the CAPT very seriously last Thursday. Everyone showed true responsibility and pride for their learning at BEHS.
On Monday, 3/23, at 6:30pm in the auditorium our band and choir teachers will be meeting with students who will be attending the Florida band trip with their families to review important expectations and policies prior to the trip.
Our parent conferences will be held this Wednesday, March 25th from 6:00-8:00pm. Prior to the conferences from 5:00-6:00pm our school counseling department will be providing an informational session for parents and junior students about post secondary options and planning for senior year. All juniors and their families are encouraged to attend. If you would like a parent conference but have not yet scheduled one, please feel free to contact your son or daughter's teachers via email to see what conference times they have available.
Also on Wednesday from 5-8pm, Project Graduation is sponsoring a fundraiser at Fuji Steakhouse. Bring the flyer and enjoy dinner prior to conferences.
Bristol Eastern High School is competing in the annual academic bowl this Saturday at 12:00pm at Lewis Mills High School. We're looking forward to bringing home contest medals in public speaking, poetry, art, voice, and general knowledge. Please come out and support our team!
On Saturday evening, we will be holding our first Spring Fling dance at the school from 7:00-10:00pm. We're looking forward to that event.

Week of March 17th
Happy St. Patrick's Day! On Tuesday, we'll be having our shamrockin' lunch where we'll be hosting a Riverdance Irish Jig contest. On Wednesday, we'll have advisory again so please be mindful of the schedule. Also on Wednesday, during second block, our administration will be reviewing policies and practices with juniors and seniors for all upcoming end of year events and activities. On Thursday, our sophomores will be taking CAPT science. Students should have a good night's rest, eat breakfast, and bring at least two number two pencils with them to school on Thursday.
For evening activities this week, we will honor our winter athletes at our winter sports banquet on Tuesday evening. The Project Graduation meeting for parents has been postponed to Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in the library. On Thursday, Bristol Eastern will host our annual talent show. We're really looking forward to that event and encourage our school community to attend.
For other announcements this week: Butterbraid orders are due to Mrs. Hyde in room 127 on Wednesday, March 18th. Pick up will be April 1st between 3:30-6:30pm in the cafeteria. There will be a McDonald's fundraiser on Wednesday, March 18th from 4:30-7;30pm sponsored by the 2015 Project graduation. The grad party is asking that senior parent try to sell the dance tickets that were sent home with your seniors last Wednesday. This will be a fun evening for all.

Events for the Week of March 9th
For School Events this week, we will have an advisory period this Wednesday. Please pay careful attention to the schedule. The requesting window for scheduling closes this Monday, March 9th. After this date, students who wish to make a change to their request will need to make an appointment with their counselor. Progress reports were mailed home this past week so they should be arriving at homes if they have not already done so. Please remember we will be holding Parent Conferences on March 25th. Students will be scheduling conferences next week.
For activities, the Band concert from last week was postponed to this Thursday, March 12 at 7:00pm. Bristol Eastern band will play along with the bands from our sending schools.
For Athletic Events, our boys' basketball team made it to the state tournament. They will be playing Bunnell Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. We wish the best of luck. Our Boys' Swim team will compete in the Class L Diving tournament on Thursday at 5:30pm.
For parent events this week, we have a Performing Arts Booster club meeting on Monday at 7:00pm in the cafeteria.
