This week continues our 20 days of Kindness. Students can check our website for the acts of kindness for the week.
To continue our charitable giving, we are still collecting canned food goods, winter wear, pet supplies, and new, unwrapped toys. Please consider making a donation.
On Wednesday, we will have advisory. Please review the schedule so that you are sure to arrive at school on time.
We have our annual Holiday concert Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. Please come out to enjoy our students' performance.
The CEO from CT Children's Medical Center will be speaking to students on Thursday to thank our school for the generous donations of toys while sharing with students details about the work of the medical center. This is sure to be a great opportunity for our students.
For varsity home events this week, we have Girls Basketball on Tuesday against South Windsor. This game is being recorded to air on television, so wear your blue and gray and come to support your Lancers. We have a wrestling match on Wednesday against EO Smith at 6:00pm. On Friday, Boys' Swimming will compete against Farmington and there is an Indoor Track meet this Saturday.
Our parents planning the after graduation drug and alcohol free celebration for students will meet in the library at 6:30pm on Wednesday.

Events for the Week of December 8th
This week for students we're continuing our twenty days of kindness. Please check our school webpage for our details for this week.
Monday night we're hosting our annual football and cheerleaders banquet to celebrate their hard work this fall season. Doors open at 6:00pm.
Performing Arts Booster Club will meet Monday at 7:00pm in the library.
On Tuesday, our guidance department will be hosting a Financial Aid and Scholarship informational session beginning at 6:00pm in the auditorium. All parents and students are welcome to attend, though the information will be especially relevant for juniors and seniors.
Before the informational night, you may want to stop by Wendy's on Tuesday to support the Senior Class and Project Graduation. On December 9th, from 5-7, a portion of the funds from Wendy's orders will go to the senior class.
We also have a boys' basketball scrimmage against Wethersfield at home on Tuesday at 5:30pm.
On Wednesday, we have a math team meet-best of luck to those students. Girls' basketball has a scrimmage at home against Northwest Catholic at 7:00pm.
On Thursday, Boys' Basketball will be playing against Conard at 5:30pm in the gym and our All Sports Booster Club will meet in the library at 7:00pm. If you teen plays in any sport you are welcome to attend.
On Friday, our girls' basketball team will also play against Platt at home at 7:00pm.
Our wrestling team scrimmages against Terryville, Avon, and Wethersfield on Saturday beginning at 9:30am.
Keeping with the holiday spirit, several of our clubs are hosting drives to support those in need. We have a Winter Wear drive, a toy drive, and a pet supply drive occurring right now. Please consider donating.

Events for the week of December 1st
The Bristol Eastern football team brought home the bell again this year for the eighth year in a row! We will be celebrating with a rally tomorrow, Monday, December 1st at the end of the day. Here is the schedule:

Students who normally have early dismissal during 7/8 will not be allowed to leave and then return to the building. If they'd like to stay for the rally, students with early dismissal should report to the cafeteria during block 7/8 on Monday. Again, for the safety of our students, we are limiting attendance to the rally to students only unless you have a ticket given out last week.
On Wednesday, students will have advisory, so students with late arrival, please be sure to check Wednesday's schedule.

Events for the Week of November 24th
This week, although a shortened one, is full of exciting and spirited opportunities for students!
This week we begin our twenty days of kindness campaign and each day we'll be reminding our students to do an act of kindness for one another.
Wednesday is a shortened day with dismissal at 12:06. We will be hosting our annual traditional pep rally on Wednesday. Please know that due to fire code and the safety of our current students, we are limiting attendance from the public. We appreciate your shared concern and care for providing our students with a safe celebration of school spirit.
We plan on keeping the Bristol Bell at the annual Thanksgiving Day Football game, so please come out in your blue and grey and support our team.
For parent events this week, our Project Graduation committee will be meeting Tuesday, November 25th at 6:30pm in the library.

Events for the Week of November 17th
For student events this week, we have a free band concert on
Wednesday evening at 7:00pm with the theme of a night at the movies. Please support our band and bring your
families to enjoy this event, which will include music from the movie the
Incredibles and more. On Thursday night
at 7:00pm, our choir will perform another free concert. It means a great deal to our performing arts
groups to have a full audience, so again, please come to enjoy a concert with
the theme of the history of music.
We will celebrate our Bristol Eastern family this Thursday
at our annual Celebration of Family luncheon.

schedule.

Events for the week of November 10
There is no school on Tuesday, November 11. Please find a moment in your day to do something to share your gratitude for our veterans.
We have an advisory meeting for all students on Wednesday. Juniors and seniors with late arrival should be sure to check the bell schedule so they arrive on time to school. Seniors will be be taking their class picture on Wednesday during advisory in the gym. Retakes for underclassmen will also be taken on Wednesday.
Our Fall Sports Athletic Banquet will be held Tuesday evening in the cafeteria. Tickets must be purchased through the All Sports Booster Club. We hope to see you there to celebrate the great seasons that all of our student-athletes have had.
Our students have been working very hard preparing a fantastic play for you for our fall production. The Nerd opens on Thursday at 7:00pm and runs again on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available each night for $10, or $8 for staff and students.
For athletic events this week, our swim team continues their progress in their divisional and state meets on Wednesday evening. On Friday, our football team is competing against EO Smith in a Veteran’s Appreciation game. Please come out and support your team while at the same time honoring the Veterans of Bristol. There will be free admission for Veterans to the game.

Events for the Week of November 3
This week is Spirit Week for students at BEHS. Monday is Mismatch Day, Wednesday is Dress in
Your Favorite Decade Day, Thursday is Sports Team Day, and Friday is Class
Colors Day. On Thursday, we have a Stomp
Out Stigma presentation for several classes as well as multiple events
happening during lunch to promote stomping out the stigma related to mental
illness. Students can wear green or wear
a green ribbon to show their support.
Our homecoming dance is this Saturday, November 8th at our school. Students will be allowed to enter no later
than 8:00pm. Once students leave the
dance, they will not be allowed to return.
We want to have a fun and safe night for our students.
There will be no school on Tuesday.
For varsity athletic events this week, Girls' Swimming
competes in the Class L tournament for diving on Wednesday. Best of luck!
Our Homecoming Football Game will be this Friday against Farmington at
7:00pm at home. Hope to see you there!

Events for the Week of October 27th
For school events, we have our Blood Drive for eligible
juniors and seniors. Interested students
must make an appointment through your student council representatives and have
a permission slip signed by your parents or guardians and your teachers. If you
have made an appointment for Wednesday, be sure you have a good breakfast and
begin hydrating yourself by drinking plenty of water beginning on Tuesday.
On Thursday evening at 6:00pm, our guidance department is
hosting an ECMC College Night. Parents
and students can rsvp with their guidance counselor. It will be a one hour presentation on the benefits
of college, the search process, and financial aide. Three attendees will be selected that night
for a $500 scholarship from ECMC.
For home varsity events this week, we have a Girls' volleyball game Monday night at 6:00pm. Tonight is senior night so we hope to see you
there. We play our cross town rivals
tonight at Muzzy in both boys' and girls' soccer for their senior night
games. On Friday, our cross country team
competes in the CIAC open championship. For details about away competitions,
please see our webpage.
For parent events this week, Project Graduation is meeting
Tuesday night at 6:30pm in our library.
They're looking for senior and junior parents who are willing to work on
the after graduation celebration for our students.
Our week concludes on October 31st--Halloween. No masks will be allowed in school, though
students can dress in costumes. The same standards for dress code and
appropriateness will still apply.

Events for the Week of October 20th
We have parent conferences on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday this week. If your son or
daughter has not brought home your schedule for conferences, please contact his
or her guidance counselor to be sure that appointments are made.
Next week, we will be hosting an ECMC College Informational
and planning night next Thursday, October 30th for junior and senior students
with one parent. We'll be providing
dinner and information about four areas relative to planning for students'
future after high school. In addition,
we will be selecting three attendees for a $500 scholarship. Please stop by our guidance office for more
information while you're here for conferences or email your teen's guidance counselor. You must rsvp to this event.
Please help us win at least $25,000 for our school by
committing to teen driving safety. Go to

School. Answer two questions and make a
commitment. If we have the largest
volume of commitments we can win up to $100,000.

Girls' Soccer tonight at 6:00pm
competing against Platt. On
Tuesday night, at 6:00pm, the Swim team competes against Platt and Maloney. On Thursday evening, Bristol Eastern soccer will
play "the other team" at Muzzy.
On Friday, at 4:00, Boys' Soccer will compete against Bulkeley. On Saturday, our cross country teams will be
competing in the Class L Championships.
